The Weeks Highlights

I hope you all had a great week! It was my birthday on Wednesday so the second half of my week has been filled with cake 😀 I just had a nice relaxing day then we went out for dinner. The day ended with some more cake and some champagne!

Rob bought me a very pretty mint green clutch bag from Aldo that I fell in love with during a recent trip to Bristol, it’s the spitting image of those beautiful ones Burberry came out with for spring, but at a fraction of the price!

I also got a dress from Rob’s sister that I had my eye on for quite some time on ASOS. My Dad bought me a voucher for a 5 course tasting menu in a nice restaurant for Rob and I to enjoy 🙂 He also topped up my bank account a bit which is much appreciated!
I mentioned a few days ago that I may have bought myself a couple of birthday presents too…those are in the form of two sweaters from ASOS, they aren’t ASOS brand but they were on sale and had been in my saved items for ages so it was definitely time to gift them to myself!

I also finally watched the movie Frozen, after hearing so many good things about it and hearing the songs from it a million times I thought it was about time I saw what all the fuss was about!! I expected to be severely underwhelmed, but it was a very good, sweet movie!

This week also saw the BBQ’s first use of the year, and we had some delicious steak. Things always just taste better when done on the BBQ right?! I’m sure we’ll be getting quite a bit of use out of it this summer, can’t wait for some burgers and hot dogs! 😀

Last Day As A 28 Year Old

DaffodilsThe daffodils finally flowered 🙂

Tomorrow is my birthday and my 20’s are almost over! One year left! I’m not doing anything special to celebrate, just dinner with my Dad and Rob.

There may be 2 birthday cakes thanks to both of the men in my life secretly getting one (not that I’m complaining!), and there may also be a couple of presents for me, from…me  😀  why not right?!

It’s a bittersweet birthday because it’s the first one without my Mum. I’m trying not to focus on the fact that she isn’t here but it breaks my heart as we moved back to England to be closer to family and now she’s gone. It would’ve been wonderful to have her here with us but I’ve got Rob and I’ve got my Dad so I’m thankful for that.

We’ll get the champagne out and toast to her, because obviously I wouldn’t be here without her!

Hope you all enjoyed some sunshine on the first day of April and didn’t get fooled too many times!

Lord Stanley Would Be Proud

Sunday August 25th was Stanley Park’s 125th Birthday!
They had concerts happening all day, the pool was open and the beer garden was packed!  We headed down in the early afternoon and enjoyed a couple of pints in the sunshine.

Here’s to another 125 years Stanley Park!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
