Current Favourites

There have been a few products that have become firm favourites over the last couple of months so I felt the need to share!

Nivea Cleanser
First up, the Nivea Gentle Cleansing Cream Wash (£1.99). Earlier this year I was having issues with redness and nothing seemed to help, until I bought this product on a whim in Boots about a month ago. It is so creamy and feels really nice and hydrating. I kid you not, after one use of this I noticed a difference in the redness on my cheeks. I was so happy! This product definitely rescued my skin, and for £1.99 it doesn’t get much better!

La Roche Posay
Another product I’ve found to help me out with my pesky red cheeks is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ (£15.50). I’ve been using this morning and night for just over a month now and I think it has definitely helped with left over redness from spots and my general cheek redness as well.

Pai Rosehip Oil
Next up we’ve got the Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil (£20.00). Everyone should have this in their lineup in my opinion, it’s so lovely. A couple of drops of this in the evening, massaged in. It makes my skin feel so much more hydrated and very soft.

Some make up products I’m really enjoying using right now are the Soap & Glory Hocus Focus Instant Flaw-Softening Illuminator (£11.00) and the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream (£9.99). Hocus Focus gives a beautiful subtle glow. Having dry skin I need a product like this to add some radiance. You can apply it all over the face before foundation or you can just use it as a highlighter.
The Bourjois CC Cream is extremely hydrating, blends really well and is great for anyone with dry skin. It’s very build-able so you can go for a nice sheer coverage or build it up in areas that may need a little more help…like my pesky chin! I use the shade Ivory.

Barry M Nail Polish
Finally, the Barry M Hi-Shine Gel Effect Nail Polishes (£3.99) have been bringing a little bit of sunshine into my days recently! I picked up 3 of these at Boots with the 3 for 2 deal. I love the pastel colours and I also really wanted a nice nude colour, so I bought ‘Huckleberry’, ‘Rose Hip’, and ‘Lychee’. I’m nuts about the colours and the formula is great too!

So those are all my current favourites. As you can see, other than the Pai Rosehip Oil the rest are all drugstore purchases. As much as I would love to buy some high-end products, I can’t at the moment (so says my bank account!) so I’m grateful for the good quality products the drugstore brands keep producing! Do you use any of the things I’ve mentioned? What are some items you’re loving at the moment? Let me know!

Wishlist Wednesday

It was National Stationary Week last week so I’m a bit late with this wishlist but hey, we love stationary all year round so it’s fine right? I’m a sucker for a pretty notebook. Always have been, and I’m definitely ok with that. There is so much beautiful stationary around these days it’s hard to narrow anything down…I want it all!! I’d love to have a pretty office that I could fill with desk accessories, storage, and notebook after notebook. Maybe one day but for now this wishlist will have to do!

Here are just a few of my favourites at the moment:

StationaryTaking Tea Stitched Large Notebook ~ Taking Tea Metal In-Tray ~ Floral Pocket Notebook Set ~ Typewriter Journal ~ Street Scene A5 Notebook ~ Liberty Floral Notebook ~ Rose Mechanical Pen ~ Cath Kidston Bright Daisy Notebook ~ Ink Press A5 Notebook ~ Taking Tea Metal Pen Pot ~ Tulips A6 Notebook ~ Caroline Gardener Multi Notebook ~ Leathersmith Of London Chelsea Leather Notebook ~ Cath Kidston Mini Journals

Most of these are from either Paperchase or John Lewis, they have a great selection. When we lived in Australia I discovered another amazing place to buy stationary called Kikki K. I could spend ages in there just looking at every. single. thing…now I do that on their website instead! They ship internationally but it’s not cheap so I tend to just window shop. Click on the image below if you feel like doing the same, be warned though! If you like stationary it could become your new favourite place!

Wishlist Wednesday

If ever there was motivation to get out there and get a steady paycheck coming in (aka a job), it’s spending time on Zara’s website! Drooling over the new arrivals and wanting to add everything to my wardrobe IMMEDIATELY! Being unemployed though, as I am, none of this can be mine…yet.

Zara is definitely bringing their A-game for Spring/Summer. These are so beautiful I’d take (almost) any job in order to afford them.

Here are some of the items filling my digital shopping bag (can you tell I’m loving this pastel trend?!):

ZaraSweater with Appliques ~ Sky Blue Coat ~ Pointy Shoes with Ankle Strap ~Yellow Coat ~ Multi-Stones Necklace ~ Mini City Bag ~ Dress With Rhinestone Necklace ~ Geometric Print Trousers ~ Combined Leather High Heel Shoe ~ Dress with Box-Pleated Skirt ~ Knee-Length Fine Pleat Skirt ~ Turquoise Diamante Necklace ~ Pleated Print Skirt ~ Mini City Bag with Zip Detail

This is just the tip of the iceberg…but short of including two thirds of their stock I thought I’d only show the absolute favourites!

I’ll leave you with these beauties while I go and work on my resume…
